Distance = rate x time.
They both travel for 6 hrs before meeting somewhere within the 96 mile distance.
Say Mya travels at x mph, then Margaret would be 6 mph faster, or x + 6 mph.
Mya's distance + Margaret's distance = 96 mi.
so 6x + 6(x + 6) = 96
6x + 6x + 36 = 96
12x = 60 and x = 5 mph (Mya)
Margaret is x + 6 = 5 + 6 = 11mph.
Check: 5(6) + 11(6) = 30 + 66 = 96 mi.
