Polynomial factoring

I am doing write a polynomial function F of least degree that has rational coefficients, a leading coefficient of 1, and the given zeros. The Zeros I got were -5, -1,2.

If you have zeros, then you can use them to find factors. Then multiply the factors.

F(x) = (x + 5)(x + 1)(x - 2)

Can you multiply that together to get a polynomial?

Do you know why a zero of -5 means a factor of (x + 5).
