corrected, had problem as |x-4| vs. |x+4|
|x+4|=(x+4) when (x+4)>0,,,,,x>-4
so for x>-4, f(x)=(-5/3)(x+4)=(-5/3)x-20/3
|x+4|=-(x+4)=(-x-4) when (x+4)<0,,,,x<-4
so for x<-4 f(x)=(-5/3)(-x-4)=(5/3)x+20/3
x=-4 f(x)=0

Since the slope is -5/3:
- the function has a V-shape downward
- -5/3: it is a narrow V-shape to the y-axis
