Multiplying Polynomials: (Look in description)

Mr. Rodgeriez has managed a manufacturing plant since the year 2010. The quantity of output can

be modeled by:

Q(x) = 2x

2 + 20x + 300

The average cost per unit (in dollars) can be modeled by:

C(x) = -.2x

2 – 10x + 200

The value of x represents the number of years after the year 2010 (since Mr. Rodgeriez has been in

charge of the manufacturing plant).

Find the total cost of the manufacturing plant, T(x), by multiplying Q(x) and C(x).

What was the total cost of the manufacturing plant in the year 2025?

I’m with Mark M: this problem is stated unclearly. I would guess that we are missing a couple of exponents. Perhaps C(x) = -.2x^2 – 10x + 200 Q(x) = 2x^2 + 20x + 300 And Paul M’s question is now apropos.
