My first step when solving this pricked would be to circle common terms. Now, distribute the negative sign (subtraction) to the second part of your equation. Once you have distributed , look at these common terms that you circled, and add them together. Your final answer should be 4x⁴ + 6x³ + 9x² - 4x - 15

Finding the difference in two polynomials is no difference than finding the difference is two numbers.
The important thing is to keep the terms aligned (by power.)
Since we are finding the difference, flip the signs of the second polynomial, positive to negative and negative to positive.
7x4 - 3x3 + 5x2 + 8x - 11
-3x4 + 9x3 + 4x2 - 12x - 4
--------------------------------------------
4x4 + 6x3 + 9x2 - 4x - 15
