shifted left by 2
the vertex of the original parabola was the origin, (0,0)
the vertex of the new parabola, y=(x+2)^2 is (-2,0)
minimum point is the same, y=0, but the graph is all shifted left by 2 units
every point (x,y) is now (x-2, y) what used to be (0,0) is now (-2,0) or
(x, x^2) or (10, 100) is now (x-2, (x-2)^2) or (10-2, 64)= (8, 64)
