Domain and range

For y =3/√x - 4, what are the domain and range?

(a) {x l x > 4} and {yl y > 0}

(b) {x l x ≥ 4} and {yl y > 0}

(c) {x l x > 4} and {yl y ≥ 0}

(d) {x l x ≥ 4} and {yl y ≥ 0

Need some clarification, is it y=3/(sqrt(x) - 4) or y=(3/sqrt(x)) - 4. In the first case, x could not be 16 since that would end up in division by zero. In the second case the same applies you can’t have division by zero and negative numbers don’t have real square roots.
