Hey Tony, here the trick is to classify time points and hot dog quantities after your arrival. At minute 2, Uncle David had eaten 22 hotdogs and at minute 8, he would have eaten a total of 76 hotdogs. So in order to calculate the rate (hotdogs/minute), take the difference of hotdogs and divided by the time difference. rate=(76-22)/(8-2)=9 hotdogs/minute
