Eq 2) x - 2y = 3
Modify equation 2 by multiplying both sides by -5:
Eq 2A) -5x + 10y = -15
Now add Eq 1) and Eq 2A):
Eq 1) 5x - 10y = 7
Eq 2A) -5x + 10y = -15

0x + 0y = -8
or 0 = -8
