Give an example from real life where composite functions are utilized. For ideas, you may look it up on the internet or find examples in the book.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to post your question!
A great example of composite functions in real life is calculating the total cost of a car trip that depends on both (a) the cost of gas and (b) the distance traveled
The price you pay at the pump depends on the number of gallons you need, and the number of gallons you need depends on the distance you drive. Which can be modeled effectively with composite functions.
I hope that helps you get moving in a better direction on this type of question! Feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions beyond that :)
Find the changing volume of a basketball if the radius (in cm) increases r(t) = 2t (t in sec). V(r) = (4πr3)/3
By composing, the result is V(t) = (4π{2t}3)/3 = 32πt3/3
Hi,
I think that this is a really great place where you can see some real-life applications of composite functions. https://math.stackexchange.com/questions/716907/application-of-composition-of-functions-real-world-examples#:~:text=You%20use%20composite%20functions%20whenever,on%20sale%20at%2015%25%20off.
