Let X = Sally's weight.
2X + 25 = Jack's weight.
Sally's weight plus Jack's weight = 225
X + 2X + 25 = 225
3X = 200
X = 66.67
Sally's weight is 66.67 pounds
Jack's weight is 2(66.67) + 25 = 158.33 pounds
Check by adding Jack's weight to Sally's weight making sure you get 225 pounds.

Note: After submitting my solution I saw that another tutor had already solved the problem using 2 variables. I chose to do it using just 1 variable because of the simplicity of the problem. Either method will give you the correct answer so long as you carefully define your variables.08/27/22
