I need help with finding the answers to these 4 problems:
x + y = 3
x - y = 3
x - y = - 3
y = - x - 2

two basic ways to go with these problems. Either solve for y, or solve for x
x+y = 3
y = 3-x
x = 3-y
with the equation solved for y, it gives you the y intercept and slope. slope =-1, it's downward sloping at a 45 degree angle. 3 is the y intercept. plot (0,3) and the x intercept (3,0). Connect them with a straight line. That's the graph of the equation.
x-y =3
y =x-3
x=3+y
slope =1, upward sloping at a 45 degree angle. y intercept =-3 or the point (0,-3)
x intercept is 3 or the point (3,0) plot those two points and connect them with a straight line
solve the equation for y
then the coefficient of the x term is the slope, and the constant term is the y intercept
