f(w) - g(w) = 4w2 - 4w - 8 - (2w2 + 3w - 6) Pretend everything in 2nd term is multiplied by -1 and remove parentheses..
4w2 - 4w - 8 - 2w2 - 3w + 6. Combine like terms: 2w2 - 7w - 2
