The slope-intercept form of a linear equation is y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.
We know that the graph goes through (1,5) and the slope is 3, so we have 3 of the 4 unknowns and can solve for b: 5 = 3(1) + b, so b = 5 - 3 = 2
Then the equation for the line is y = 3x + 2. You can use the Desmos Graphing Calculator website to check it.
