how would you graph the solution to the equations y=4x-9 and y=x-3?

We don't really "graph a solution" for equations, but we graph the equations to see the solution. Graph both y=4x-9 (y-intercept of -9, slope of 4) and y=x-3 (y-intercept of -3, slope=1), and see where they intersect.

I believe the solution is at (2,-1).
