To shift f(x) = x2 five units to the left, you need to change the h value to +5:
g(x) = (x + 5)2
It is not necessary to change the a or k values, because the only transformation needed is a shift of 5 to the left. In other words, we didn't need to move it up or down, or perform any other transformations. Therefore, the answer is: g(x) = (x + 5)2
