asked 02/28/22Solve the system for each variable, and check your solutions.
x + y + z = 6 and 2x – y + z = 3 and x + 2y – 3z = -4
1 Expert Answer
Hi,
x + y + z = 6 I
2x – y + z = 3 II
x + 2y – 3z = -4 III
First, eliminate y between two equations I and II then you will have 3x + 2z = 9 IV
Second, eliminate y between two equations I and III then you will have -x - 5 z = -16 V
Third, solve system between IV and V by eliminating x or z ( up to you) I eliminated x then z = 3
Forth, plug in z = 3 to the V find x = 1
Last part, use one of original given equation by plugin x= 1, z = 3 and find y = 2
I hope it was useful,
