The difference between two numbers is 33 . Three times the smaller is equal to 5 more than the larger. What are the numbers?

3S = 5+L

S = L-33

3S = 3L- 99

3S = L +5

L = 104/2 = 52 = the larger number

S = 52-33 = 19 = the smaller number
