- $41 per cubic yard of mulch means 41 * number of cubic yards of mulch: so $41 for 1 cubic yard, $82 for 2 cubic yards...$164 for 4 cubic yards. Basically you MULTIPLY $41 by the number of cubic yards. Therefore, if you have x cubic yards of mulch, it will be $41 * x
- "PLUS a delivery charge of $26" means you take $41 * x and ADD $26 to it to get the total cost
As a result, the total cost C will be given as: C = 41x + 26
