The inches per mile or miles per inch, however you want to look at it, are constant. The mapmaker doesn't let one inch equal a mile in one place and then changes to letting it equal 2 miles. So we know that either way you look at it it is constant. so 1.1 in/ 88 miles and 1.3 inches/ X miles have got to be the same, right?
