Hi Jen--
Best thing to do is draw them. (Do you know what they look like?)
So draw them if you can, look at them, and answer these questions:
1) do they intersect?
2) are the 4 angles they form all the same size?
3) is that size 90 degrees (like a letter L, even if that L is upside down or backwards)?
Those qualities together describe a pair of perpendicular lines.
