Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
40x + 55(60-x) = 60(45)
40x -55x + 3300 = 2700
15x = 600
x = 40 liters of 40%
60-x =20 liters of 55%
mixed to get 60 liters of 45%
40% is within 5% of 45%
55% is within 10% of 45%
10/5 = 2. you need twice as much 40% as 55%. 40= 2(20)
x/(60-x) = 2
x =120-2x
3x =120
x =120/3 = 40 liters of 40%
60-x = 60-40 = 20 liters of 55%
40(40) + 20(55) = 60(45)
1600 + 1100 = 2700
2700 = 2700
