So the definitions of an even function and an odd function are key to solving this problem.
Even function: k(x) =k(-x)
Odd function: p(x) = -p(x)
Since f(x) is even, that means f(-1) = f(1). The point (1,5) being on the graph of f(x) means f(1) = 5. Therefore, that also means f(-1) =5
For g(x), you're asked to find g(1). The point (1,5) is on the graph of g(x), which means g(1) =5
So: f(-1) + g(1) = 5+5 = 10
