Hi, something that I do when I am graphing a rational function is I first make a table of values after determining my x-intercept, y-intercept, and asymptotes. I use this table to act as a guide for helping me determine the behavior of the graph around these graph features.
I also like to try and determine any absolute minimums/maximums and any relative maximums and minimums.
Do you have an example you would like me to demonstrate this with?

The first example is f(x)=1/3x^2+3x-1811/02/21
