This is a composition of functions problem. A function composition of f o g(x) is evaluated as f(g(x)). Let's take a sample problem f(x) = x^3 and g(x) = 5x. The composition f o g(x) in this case would be (5x)^3.In this problem, we have only one function given: f(x) = x^3. That means when we take f o f (x), the composition would be f(f(x)) which would, in turn, be (x^3)^3 or x^9 (remember that exponents are multiplied when a power is raised to a power, called the power rule of exponents). Now we know what f o f (x) is, we evaluate the function at x = -1. (-1)^9 = -1
