Assuming the line goes through 2 points (−2,5) and (-3,-2)
Let's find the slope which is the (y2-y1)/(x2-x1). If point 1 is (-2,5) and point 2 is (-3,-2), then
slope m = (-2-5)/(-3 - -2) = -7/(-1) = 7
Now you can use either point to write an equation in point-slope form.
- using (-2,5): y - 5 = 7*(x+2)
- using (-3,-2): y +2 = 7*(x+3)
