I am assuming this question is asking to find an equation of a line.
Through (-1,-5) slope = 1
Equation of a line in Point Slope form-
y-y1=m(x-x1)
y--5=1(x--1)
y+5=1(x+1)
Equation of the line in slope-intercept form-
y=mx+b
Start with the point-slope form and keep solving it until you get the slope-intercept form.
y+5=1(x+1)
Using the distributive property
y+5=1x+1
Subtract 5 on both the sides
y=1x-4
y=x-4
