Devonte currently has 10 tulips in his yard. Each year he plants 10 more.

(a) Find a linear model of the form  to describe the number of tulips that Devonte has at a given point in time.

(b) How many tulips will Devonte have in 6 years? tulips

(c) When will Devonte have 15 tulips? Round your answer to the nearest tenth of a year.

After  years

P(t) = 10 + 10t

P(6) = 10 + 10(6) = 70 tulips in 6 years

25 = 10 + 10t

10t = 15

t = 3/2 = 1.5 years to reach 25 tulips
