The sum of three numbers is 16. The third is 9 more than 2 times the second. 2 times the first is 2 more than 7 times the second. Find the numbers.

I attempted this for 2 hours and kept getting it wrong. Help?

T =9+ 2S

2F = 2+7S

F=1 + 7S/2

1 + 7S/2 + S + 9 + 2S = 16

(13/2)S = 6

S = 6(2/13) = 12/13 = second number = about .9

T = 9+2(12/13) = 141/13 = third number = about 10.8

F= 1 +(7/2)(12/13) = 1+42/13 = 55/13 = about 4.2

4.2 + 10.8 + .9 = about 16

the numbers are 55/13, 12/13 and 141/13
