First of all did you mean f(x) = (12x)*3 or f(x) = (12x)³

In either case try this to find the inverse

Let y = f(x)

y = (12x)³ = 12³ * x³ = 1728x³

Rearrange to give x in terms of y this should give the cube root of y divided by 12³

x = (y/1728)^1/3

Rewrite f^-1(x) by replacing y with x in the equation above.
