f(x) = y = (12x)3
Swap x and y and solve for y to get f-1(x)
x = (12y)3 = 123y3
y = (x/1728)1/3

Hi Nicka F
First of all did you mean f(x) = (12x)*3 or f(x) = (12x)3
In either case try this to find the inverse
Let y = f(x)
y = (12x)3 = 123 * x3 = 1728x3
Rearrange to give x in terms of y this should give the cube root of y divided by 123
x = (y/1728)1/3
Rewrite f-1(x) by replacing y with x in the equation above.
Corrected typos above
