What do you notice about cubic and cube root parent function graphs?

Graph one and take a look. Go to desmos and start with the graph of y = x^3 (which is the parent function) and then try y = x^3 - 2x^2 - x + 2 and see a variation of the parent function.

This is a rather vague question, but my guess is that the teacher wants you to answer one or both of the following:

1) What do you observe about the shape and position of the two graphs? Plot them by hand or using a graphing utility, and this answer will be obvious.

2) What do you observe about the actual points on the two graphs? Think about how points on graphs of inverse functions correspond to each other. Since these two relations are inverses of each other, you will observe the same thing here.
