You can just google the compound you have listed to find their chemical formula. Once you get it, look up each element on the Periodic Table and multiply the number of atoms by the element atomic weight and add them all up.
Example: lithium carbide = Li2C2
Look up Lithium: 6.941 g/mol, according to your directions, round to 7 then multiply by 2 (since there are two atoms) = 14
Look up Carbon: 12.011 g/mol, according to your directions, round to 12 then multiply by 2 (since there are two atoms) = 24
Add them up: 14 + 24 = 38 g/mol
