Hello!
I've broken down the steps of how you can think about polynomial division here. I am happy to delve even deeper into how this works. Please let me know if I can be of more help!

To solve this problem you must put in zeros or placeholders for the bigger equation for any powers that we skip so in this case what we are actually doing is the following
x2-3 √x4-2x3+0x2+x-4
then you solve this way doing one variable raised to the power and the variable non raised to a power. You continue doing this until either you obtain a full complete answer or an answer with a remainder.
In this problem we obtain the following answer
x2-2x+3 R: -5x+5
You can also use synthetic division as well to solve this problem.

I am still confused. Can you show me how you got to the end result?06/14/21
