Writing Rational functions with given characteristics

  1. There are no zeros, a hole exists at x = –3, vertical asymptote is at x = 1, and horizontal asymptote is at y = 0.
  2. There is a zero at 6, a hole exists at x = –3, no vertical asymptotes, and horizontal asymptote at y = x – 6.
  3. The zeros are at –1 and 3 and the vertical asymptote is at x = 0.
  4. The zero is at 2, vertical asymptote is at x = –2 and x = 0, and horizontal asymptote is at y = 0.
  5. The zero is at -8, vertical asymptote is at x = 6 and x = -9, and horizontal asymptote is at y = 0.
  6. The zeros are at 2 and 6 and the vertical asymptote is at x = -1 and x = 9.
