Is x2 − 1 a factor of P(x) = 2x4 + 7? If it is, write P(x) as a product of two factors.

A. x2 − 1 is a factor. P(x) = (x2 − 1)(2x2 + 2)

B. x2 − 1 is a factor. P(x) = (x2 − 1)(2x2 − 2)

C. x2 − 1 is not a factor.

D. x2 − 1 is a factor. P(x) = (x2 − 1)(x + 9)
