Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
15 = 1.99x + .79y where x = number of chips bags purchased and y = number of candy bars purchased
IF the bags = bars, then 15= (1.99+.79)x = 2.78x, x = 15/2.78 = about 5.4. 5 bags & 5 bars maximum
If only chips were purchased, then maximum number would be 15/1.99 =7.5, with 7 max possible if they sold only by a full bag.
if only candy bars were purchased, max would be 15/.79 = 18, although for a couple pennies more 19 would be possible
