4x = 3y
IF the 2nd person made $400 per week, the 1st person made $300 per week
If the 2nd person made $800 per week, the 1st person made $600
the first person made 75% of the 2nd person's salary
if you know the total amount x+y = total = T
then y = (4/7)T
and x = (3/7)T
2nd person made 4/7 of the total
1st made 3/7 of the total
