Creating a quadratic function

given the points (0,0) and (16,0) as x intercepts and x=8 as the axis of symmetry write the equation in vertex form.

What if the vertex is (8,12)?

If this were the vertex the equation would be y=(x-8)^2 +12 which has no real zeros. It does not go through the points (0,0) and (16,0) . Go ahead and graph it
