The area of the triangle above is 21. What is the value of x ?

Agreed, that there is definitely not enough information; however I would imagine B or C to be more likely, since 6*7 is 42, but the area of a triangle is half the product of base and height, so 21... My two cents...

I Jarom L two cents 42/2 = 21 so 6*7 seem like good candidates to me too. Maybe the student could provide a picture.
