Remember that zeroes are where our graph crosses the x-axis, and thus y = 0. For y to equal zero, one factor has to equal zero.

For y to equal 0 when x = -2, x + 2 = 0

x + 2 = 0

x = -2

(x + 2)(x - 1)(x - 3) = 0

(x² + x - 2)(x - 3) = 0

x³ - 3x² + x² - 3x - 2x + 6 = 0

x³ - 2x² - 5x + 6
