Dora was walking from 10am until 1pm, which is three hours.
During that time, she goes from 258ft to 613ft, which is a change of 355ft (613 - 258). It doesn't matter what she did in between that time, what matters here is where she started and where she ended!
So, our rate of change in altitude is just her change in ft relative to hours. Which is 355ft/3hours or 118.33ft/hr.
