The food for Less sells a can of soda for 35 cents and a cup of coffee for 50 cents. On Friday, they sell 24 more cups of coffee than cans of soda. How many cans of soda and cups of coffee were sold Friday if the coffee and soda receipts total $17.10.

50C + 35S = 1710

50(24+S) + 35S = 1710

50S + 35S = 1710 - 1200 = 210

S = 210/85 = 6 sodas

C = 24+6 = 30 coffees
