Divine Right basically means that the monarch has the authority to rule over people because he/she obtains the right from God. They are God's political representative on Earth and therefore command authority. However, it's not so clear-cut as just that absolute monarchy feeds off divine right by stating that the king/queen has absolute or total control they can rule without fault they can do no wrong think Tsar Nicholas II, Constitutional monarchy sort of splits from that in that while the monarch is still 'divinely' appointed, they are still held applicable to respecting rights of their subjects and they, therefore, do not hold complete power and are themselves subject to the rule of non-regal government think Queen Elizabeth. In addition, historically a lot of royal power stemmed from larger army diplomacy aka I have a bigger more powerful army, therefore, God is in my favor, and therefore I can rule.
