Use the rational funcion, g(x)= 2( 1 / x-1 ) + 3, to answer part a & b.
Part A
Identify the vertical asymptote:
To find vertical asymptotes you take the denominator and set it to zero
x-1 = 0
x = 1
VA: x = 1
Part B
Identify the horizontal asymptote:
To find horizontal asymptotes you have to see what value is added or subtracted to the original function (1/x) especially in this form, where you can see all the transformation.
HA: y = 3
