For proportions in regards to this example, you would take the total amount of students (100) and place it as the denominator and the total number of students that can roll their tongue (70) as the numerator. Which would be 70/100.
From here, looking at this fraction we can see both the numerator and denominator are divisible by 10, turning the fraction to 7/10.
