first: keep radical at the left side by adding 3 to the both sides
√5x-6-3=5 -----> √5x-6=5 +3 -----> √5x-6= 8
Second: both sides to the power two to eliminate radical
5x-6=64 -----> 5x = 64 + 6 = 70 -----> x = 70/5 = 14
Third: it is the best you check it your solution by replacing to the given equation
It means plug in 14 instead of x and see you have true expression
√5x-6-3=5----> √5(14)-6-3=5---->√64 -3=5---->8 - 3 = 5
