If the length is "L" then the width is twice that or "2L" so the perimeter is L + 2L + L + 2L and it equals 80 so:

L + 2L + L + 2L = 80

6L = 80

L = 80/6 = 40/3 or 13 1/3 inches

And the width is twice that so 80/3 or 26 2/3 inches
