Sydney participated in a cross-country skiing race of 250 kilometers. He covered 100 kilometers in the first 5 days. Due to a storm, he only covered 70 kilometers in the next week.

A burst of good weather allowed him to finish the race in just 2 more days. Sketch a graph of distance versus time for Sydney’s race. Then, write a piecewise function for the graph.

Hello, Lev K. - I have complained to Wyzant about the limitations of their response box. I can paste graphs and worksheets directly into the window, but they always trigger an "Out of room" error message. It would be so much easier to answer questions if graphs and spreadsheet images could be added. Sometimes I'll put the item on Google Docs and obtain a link that works for anyone accessing it. But the addition of a link in the answer box triggers a delay so that a moderator can check on the link. Please let Wyzant know that you would like to easily add graphs. Thanks, Bob

same here. Exceeding max size when pasting. However I see sometimes that even students can include diagrams. How do they do that?
