A store is having a sale on was almonds and jelly beans. For 5 pounds of almonds and 3 pounds of jelly beans the total cost is $16.00. for two pounds of almonds and 6 pounds of jelly beans the total cost us $22.00. find the cost for each pound of jelly beans and almonds.

5A + 3J = 16

2A + 6J = 22

10A + 6J = 32

2A +6J = 22

subtract to get

8A = 10

A =5/4 = $1.25

3J = 16-5(5/4) = 16-25/4 = 39/4

J = 13/4 = $3.25
