What this question is asking you to do, essentially, is plug in the value of f(x), which is x + 1, into the g(x) equation.
So if the g(x) equation is 2x, and we plug in (x+1) for the value of x, then you get 2(x+1).
Then distribute the 2 and you get 2x + 2.
So g(f(x)) = 2x+2
